irrFuscator is an ActionScript 3 obfuscator for flex developers. It protects SWF and AIR applications and their source code, is very fast and provides excellent results. It is available for the command line but also comes with a graphical frontend.

irrFuscator ist ein ActionScript 3 obfuscator für Flex-Entwickler. Es schützt SWF und AIR-programme und deren source code, ist sehr schnell und erzielt sehr gute Ergebnisse. Es ist für die Kommandozeile verfügbar als auch als grafisches Frontend. Es kann strings verschlüsseln, Witespace entfernen, kann nichtdeterministisch verschlüsseln und erkennt automatisch Aufrufe nach externem Flex-code.
Obfuscation ist leider für viele Entwickler notwendig weil ihr Code reverse engineered und gestolen wird, im Flash-Bereich überduchschnittlich oft.
irrFuscator ist auch recht nützlich wenn Flex-Entwickler nicht kompilieren Quellcode an eine nicht vertrauenswürde Person schicken müssen, daher hat irrFuscator zusätzlich eine eingebaute Whitespace- und Kommentar-Entfernungs-Funktion.
