You can enter data in a variety of ways, by importing GEDCOM files that have been created from other programs, entering individual information for each family member, family group, complete family (ancestors and/or descendants) or directly from your source documents. The program will automatically compile the information into Family Tree Journal data files. As with most genealogy software, you may print a variety of different reports or these reports may be formatted into book form. The program will automatically generate a title page, table of contents, multiple sections or chapters and an index to all individuals that are referenced in the book. For each chapter or section you may select from a wide variety of reports including charts and extensive biographies complete with photographs and reference notes. Each section or chapter may be sorted by family member's date of birth, surname or reference number and sections may appear in any order within the book. The books can be designed to include the information for an individual family member, a selected group of family members or you can produce large volumes that will include all of the information for your entire family. You may produce a series of books customized for each member of your family. These books are sure to become the topic of conversation at family reunions, weddings and even funerals. Annual updates of your journal make welcome holiday gifts for all of your family members. FAMILY TREE JOURNAL is an excellent teaching tool for elementary through high school (and beyond).
