Hair loss and receding hairline is a very common and often serious problem, one that affects men and women around the world. Shedding 50 to 100 hairs a day is normal and not problematic, but once you are losing more than that and noticing bald spots on your head, you probably have a hair loss problem. Aberrant hair loss might be due to a number of of a few different causes, but a couple of the most frequent factors responsible are genetics, stress, and depression. High fever and serious infection are other reasons you could be losing your hair, and if you have had a high fever for a long time or is you have had major surgery, you can expect a fair amount of hair to fall out. The difference here is the loss of hair should only be temporary.
